LEE JOHNSON has confirmed that talented midfielder Dan Crowley will miss tomorrow’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy derby at Bradford City after being called up into the England Under-19 squad.

The Arsenal schemer will also miss the weekend game with Crewe, with the Reds also without the services of Ireland Under-21 striker Conor Wilkinson for the next two games.

Loan striker Michael Smith is also ineligible for the trip to Valley Parade, but will be back in the fray for Saturday’s Oakwell game with Alex.

The Reds resources are further depleted by the absence of Simeon Jackson, who is on international duty with Canada.

Ryan Williams and James Rothwell are also likely to be sidelined.

Johnson said: “We are depleted for a number of reasons, with Dan being called up and Michael can’t play and we have a couple of little knocks we might have to be careful with from Saturday.”

“We may also rest one or two and I am sure Bradford will as well, but generally we will have a pretty strong side going.

“There will also be an opportunity for one of our young players coming off the bench or starting.”
