Fan’s Review of 2019-20 Season – Huddersfield Town

THE season may yet to be completed but, given the enforced break due to the coronavirus pandemic, we thought we’d ask one Huddersfield Town fan to give their verdict on the campaign so far.

How would you assess your season so far? Hope of a fresh beginning turned into a nightmare within three games but Danny Cowley strengthened the defence and cobbled an exciting midfield.

Player of the season? Lewis O’Brien.

Most improved player? Juninho Bacuna.

Best goal? Bacuna v Charlton Athletic (home).

Which game have you enjoyed most? 4-0 v Charlton.

Biggest disappointment? Losing 3-0 to Cardiff at home.

What mark would you give the manager out of ten? Siewert 4, Cowley 7.5.

How important is it to finish the season? If it means keeping everyone safe but abandoning the season, so be it.

If the season gets started again, what is your hope for your team? Survival to 16th.

What needs to change for next season? A permanent goalkeeper (Jonas Lossl or Alex Smithies), settled back four and free-scoring Karlan Grant.
