Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek 11 Preview – Which Leeds United player is red hot for Fantasy owners

Both teams have favourable fixtures following this week’s postponement but with in-form players elsewhere, it will be a tough call whether to stick or twist.

Captain Picks

Kevin De Bruyne (£11.7m) vs Fulham (H)

De Bruyne’s two assists against Burnley last week sparked interest in the Belgian, as over 150,000 fantasy managers have already brought him in ahead of this weekend’s seemingly straightforward home game against Fulham.

Over the last four gameweeks, no Man City player has taken more shots or created more chances than De Bruyne, so if you’re keen to captain a City player this week, Kevin is my pick.

Heung-Min Son (£9.5m) vs Arsenal (H)

With a goal and an assist in this fixture last season, if Son can keep up his recent form against Arsenal, he’ll be a fantasy manager’s dream. Across the eight times he’s faced Arsenal in his career, he’s managed two goals and three assists, which averages out to a goal involvement in 62.5% of games.

If this doesn’t tempt you to give Son the armband, his nine goals and two assists already this season should.

Bruno Fernandes (£10.9m) vs West Ham (A)

Love him or hate him, you have to respect him. Scoring and assisting in another comeback win last weekend, 68% of Fernandes’ 74 points have come away from home.

In fact, Fernandes is yet to blank away from home this season with his lowest score coming last week with 10 points!

The Form Guide - Who’s Hot?

Riyad Mahrez (Man City, £8.3m)

After six blanks in a row, Mahrez returned to form with a brilliant hat-trick in Man City’s 5-0 win over Burnley.

Although Guardiola likes to rotate his team, Mahrez being benched midweek against Porto bodes well for Saturday’s game as he should be fresh for the occasion. Last weekend, no player had more penalty area touches or shots on target than the Algerian, indicating his attacking prowess.

Edouard Mendy (Chelsea, £5.2m)

It’s safe to say that Mendy has settled in well at Chelsea. Over his last ten games he’s only let in two goals and kept eight clean sheets along the way. As a result, Chelsea boast the second tightest defence in the league, having conceded just ten goals across the opening ten league games. In FPL, he averages 5.5 points per game which is as good as it gets from a goalkeeper.

Stuart Dallas (Leeds, £4.5m)

With back to back clean sheets against Arsenal and Everton, it’s time to take the Leeds defence seriously.

After travelling to Chelsea this weekend, Leeds play West Ham and Newcastle on home turf.

No defender has taken more shots on target or had more chances to score than Dallas so far this season, showing his potential to score points at both ends of the pitch.

The Form Guide - Who’s Not?

Raul Jimenez (Wolves, £8.3m)

Jimenez’s horrific skull fracture rules him out for the foreseeable future but it will be interesting to see how Wolves play without him.

Before his injury, Raul had played every minute of every game so Wolves may need to adapt their style in his absence. Fabio Silva (£5.2m) is the favourite to play up front this weekend.

James Rodriguez (Everton, £7.8m)

After three goals and three assists in his first five games, Rodriguez was fast becoming an essential fantasy asset.

Since then though, he’s failed to score or assist, picked up niggling injuries and after Burnley away has tough games against Chelsea, Leicester and Arsenal. This week may be his last chance to deliver.

Callum Wilson (Newcastle, £6.5m)

Selected by 13.4% of fantasy managers, Wilson is by far the most owned Newcastle player in the game but with their fixture against Aston Villa being postponed this weekend for coronavirus reasons, it might be worth shipping him out despite his strong form.

Ones to Watch (Less than 5% ownership)

Pedro Neto (Wolves, £5.6m, 3.2%)

Hoping to contribute to goals in Jimenez’s absence, Pedro Neto has been Wolves’ most attacking threat, delivering two goals and one assist across his last two games. Behind Jimenez, Neto has the most Premier League minutes for Wolves attackers so his starting spot is fairly secure too.

Ruben Dias (Man City, £5.6m, 2.8%)

Having started every league game since his arrival, Dias has quickly become a mainstay in the City backline. Yet to contribute to a goal, it’s his clean sheet potential you’d be bringing him in for. Across their last four games, City have conceded just seven shots on target so you’d expect them to continue to keep it tight against Fulham, Man United and West Brom – their next three games.

After picking your initial squad, you receive 1 free transfer each Gameweek. Each additional transfer you make in the same Gameweek will deduct 4 points from your score.

If you do not use your free transfer, you are able to make an additional free transfer the following Gameweek. If you do not use this saved free transfer in the following Gameweek, it will be carried over until you do. You can never have more than 1 saved transfer.

For example, since you get 1 free transfer per gameweek, if you make no transfers between gameweeks, you will have 2 free transfers in preparation for the next gameweek. You will incur a 4 point hit per transfer over your free transfer allowance.

Point Scoring

During the season, your fantasy football players will be allocated points based on their performance in the Premier League. Remember, every week your captain scores double points, so pick them wisely!

1 For playing up to 60 minutes

2 For playing 60 minutes or more (excluding stoppage time)

6 For each goal scored by a goalkeeper or defender

5 For each goal scored by a midfielder

4 For each goal scored by a forward
