Danny Clarke has left the club to join FC Halifax Town after five years at the club, leaving the captaincy role vacant.

Manager Steve Housham has no new injury concerns, but Jake Skelton is unavailable after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season in the 1-1 draw at Woking last weekend.

North Ferriby are bottom of the league table and seeking their first victory since September.

Housham has been uplifted by successive draws with Woking and Wrexham, which ended a nine-match losing streak.

Housham, who is also without Simon Russell, said: “It might be only two draws, but we are on a good run at the moment.

“The dressing room was downbeat after Woking’s equaliser in stoppage-time, but that shows how far we have come. One win can make all the difference to our season.”

Sutton include new signing, Ben Jefford as they look to extend their unbeaten league run to six games. The 22-year-old left-back has joined from Forest Green Rovers, but will be available for any FA Cup games.

Guiseley are also in the bottom two, but the glass remains half full for managerial duo Adam Lockwood and Housham.

The Lions are still searching for their first away win of the season ahead of today’s long trip to Dover, but Nethermoor chief Lockwood is delighted with the club’s recent upturn, which has seen them bag 10 points from their last six league games after taking a paltry three from the first 13.

Lockwood, who welcomes back Simon Walton and Jake Lawlor from suspension, said: “I would like to thank everybody connected with the club because everybody is pulling in the right direction and helping out and it is great.

“It does not half help make a difference to your momentum to get the train moving.

“Hopefully, it will not stop very often and we will keep it moving.”

York City, just above the drop zone, are without a victory in 13 games since September 10.

A welcome return sees striker Aidan Connolly back in the ranks for the home game with Dagenham.

In National League North, FC Halifax Town will be seeking to round off a vintage week with victory at Curzon Ashton.

Harrogate Town face FA Cup giant-killers Brackley, while Bradford Park Avenue visit Stockport County.
