Fine increases cost of Randall's breakdown

ROTHERHAM United midfielder Mark Randall has been fined by manager Ronnie Moore after missing the club's midweek game at Stockport County.

Randall, who is on a three-month loan deal from Arsenal, failed to make it to Edgeley Park after his car broke down on the way from his home in Milton Keynes.

Moore is furious because the Millers had reserved a room in a local hotel for the 21-year-old to use prior to the game.

"It was a lack of professionalism. If he had being playing for Arsenal he would not have done it," Moore said. "We booked him in a hotel but he goes home without anyone knowing. It is showing disrespect for Rotherham United and we won't have that."

The Millers' top-of-the-table trip to local rivals Chesterfield has been switched to Friday, March 18 (7.45) to accommodate live coverage on Sky Sports.

Barnsley general manager Don Rowing has confirmed a report in yesterday's Yorkshire Post which revealed Wolves are set to lodge a 500,000 bid for winger Adam Hammill.
