FT: Blackpool 1-1 Barnsley

Barnsley were beaten 4-0 by West Ham on Good Friday but belatedly got something positive from the Easter Weekend.

Things were looking up inside the first 20 minutes when Keith Southern was sent off for Blackpool after a lunge on Stephen Foster.

And against the run of play Barnsley took the lead at the start of the second half through David Perkins after a shot from Jim O’Brien deflected into his path.

But the hosts finally got their reward for all their endeavour when they equalised on 71 minutes through Matt Phillips.
