York City crashed to defeat against promotion hopefuls Oxford as their bid to climb out of the League Two drop zone suffered a setback.

The night started badly, as former Rotherham United striker Jordan Bowery fired the hosts in front after 10 minutes.

Oxford doubled their advantage on 72 minutes, Chey Dunkley netting a second goal, before Danny Hylton fired home a third seven minutes later.
