Gateshead 0 York City 3: Smith on target against 10-man Gateshead

York City blew away the cobwebs when they beat 10-man Gateshead in the Blue Square Premier today.

York travelled to International Stadium on the back of having played just once in December - a 1-0 FA Trophy defeat to Boston United - and with striker Michael Gash having joined Rushden & Diamonds on loan until the end of the season.

Craig Nelthorpe saw red in the first half as Gateshead were reduced to 10 men.
