Latest reports suggest that the 21-year-old is one of the English game’s hottest properties after enjoying a great season since joining from Dundee United for £2.5m.

It is believed the Scotland International could now be worth an eight-figure fee, although Tigers’ manager Steve Bruce has no intention of cashing in while Robertson himself seems in no immediate rush to leave the KC Stadium.

Mirco Antenucci is the only current member of the first team squad out of contract at the end of the season.

Evans said: “Every player in the first team squad at Leeds at the present time will have a huge part to play between now and the end of the season.”

The future of a number of fringe players could be in doubt with Jordan Botaka, Lee Erwin and Casper Sloth all finding first-team opportunities difficult to come by this season.
