Half term report: Huddersfield Town

Andrew Pearce, of Holmfirth

I am optimistic about our chances. Considering we have played all the top teams away and not many at home, the fixtures in the second half of the season could work in our favour as I would fancy our chances at the Galpharm Stadium against anyone. Unfortunately, I think getting past two of the top three to win automatic promotion could well be beyond us because a big gap has developed so, instead, it will have to be the play-offs for us. Providing we do qualify, though, there is no team who I would be afraid of facing over two legs as I think Lee Clark has put together a decent side.

Are your team exceeding pre-season expectations or under-achieving? We are under-achieving considering the strength of some of our performances and depth of the squad.

Hero? Lee Peltier.

Most disappointing player? Andy Butler.

Best moment? Jordan Rhodes scoring a late equaliser at Leeds.

Worst moment? The ball not bouncing into the net in the last minute of the same game when Anthony Pilkington hit the bar.

Best side faced? Norwich.

Worst side faced? Any from Brighton, Wycombe, Dagenham & Redbridge, Orient or Exeter.

Is your manager doing a good job? Yes, he speaks honestly and has bought well in the transfer market.

What has gone right/wrong this season? We are strong going forward but continue to make silly errors at the back.

What activity is needed in the January transfer window? Strengthen our left flank as far too many goals are coming from that area.

Where will your team finish? In the play-offs.
