Aspin hoping for different outcome

SKRILL PREMIER: Promotion-chasing Cambridge United are likely to face a very different
FC Halifax Town from the side they thrashed 5-1 on the opening day of the season.

The Shaymen endured a difficult return to the fifth tier as Matt Glennon and Danny Lowe were sent off inside the first half.

Since then, however, Halifax have been superb and host the U’s sitting seventh in the table.

Manager Neil Aspin said: “The game itself was a long game, I don’t think we could have had a worse start. Certainly, as a manager I had never been faced with being down to nine men after 15 minutes.

“Being the first game at this level it was a hard game to cope with to start with, but we have gone on well since then and we go into this game in a much better position than I would have thought after the game as we were coming away from Cambridge.”
