FC Halifax Town 4 Aldershot 0: Halifax get into gear after early lethargy
Hyde were victims of the same scoreline in midweek.
On Saturday, Halifax extended their unbeaten home start to 11 games and became the highest scorers in the division thanks to efforts from top-scorer Lee Gregory, Adam Smith, Scott McManus and Marc Roberts.
Aspin said: “It’s been a great week. I think the 4-0 flattered us on Tuesday, but I thought we were full value for this win. Once we got the first goal it allowed a bit of space in behind them.

Aldershot never looked like getting anything after Gregory showed strength and composure to control Roberts’s long throw and finish past John Henley.
Gregory then turned provider for Smith with a clever cut-back and a delightful move produced Halifax’s third goal.
Gregory played a one-two with Josh Wilson before a sliderule pass picked out McManus, who fired low across Henley.
