Glennon calls for seven of the best from Halifax

Yorkshire’s sole representative in the top flight of non-League football have drawn their last six games and seven out of the last eight. This lack of wins means Halifax, whose tally of games in hand has been reduced to just one, need others to drop points if they are to make a late dash for the top five.

Goalkeeper Glennon said: “We pretty much need to win all of our games now but we are capable of that. Last year we had a great run into the end of the season so we could repeat that.”

Halifax today travel to Nuneaton, the form team in the Conference after beating FA Trophy finalists Wrexham in midweek. The Midlands club remain deep in relegation trouble, however, despite being unbeaten in seven games and not having conceded for more than seven-and-a-half hours.

Glennon added: “Nuneaton are going to think that they are going to beat us but we are going there confident because we should have beaten Bristol Rovers and we should have beaten Barnet. So, we are still confident in our ability to win games. We just need something to drop for us. I think it will be the next game. There is no-one in this league that we can’t beat so if we play the way that we can play then we will get the results. We need to make sure everyone is firing on all cylinders, scoring goals and keeping it tight.”
