Harrogate Town make third addition of January window after signing Kettering defender

HARROGATE TOWN have boosted their ranks further with the addition of Kettering Town defender Jay Williams - their third signing of the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old had been with The Poppies since November 2020 and impressed during his short spell in the National League North.

Williams came through the ranks at Northampton Town, a club he spent seven years with having joined at the age of 13. He made his professional debut for the Cobblers in September 2018 and made 17 senior appearances for the club.

He will wear the number 27 shirt at Town and is available for Saturday’s trip to Cambridge United.

Williams's arrival follows on from the signings of Norwich City midfielder William Hondermarck, who has joined on loan for the rest of the season and Forest Green striker Josh March, who will stay with the League Two outfit for the remainder of the campaign after joining on loan.
