Harrogate Town v Tranmere Rovers - Former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Connor Kirby tipped for positive impact
On Tuesday night, for the first time in their very short Football League history, the Sulphurites will kick off without captain Josh Falkingham, sent off at Newport County. But after 22-year-old Kirby’s impact from the bench against the League Two leaders, Weaver is not unduly concerned for tonight’s visit of Tranmere Rovers.
“If anything, the other day showed how good Connor Kirby is as a player,” he commented. “He did really well and Lloyd Kerry played well. They played well together last time out against Leicester (Under-21s in the Football League Trophy).

With Ryan Fallowfield in Covid-19 isolation, Dan Jones made only his second league start for the club at centre-back in Wales, and impressed.
“I think he was excellent in all aspects of his game,” added Weaver.
“He was strong defensively, strong on crosses, read the game well, was strong in the challenge, competed very well aerially and he was a calming influence when we needed it.”
