Hernandez leaves it late to see off Wolves at Old Trafford

Manchester United's new hero Javier Hernandez took the plaudits again to keep the Reds' Carling Cup hopes alive.

A flat first half saw both United and Wolves fail to find a breakthrough but in the second half United twice were pegged back – George Elokobi cancelling out Bebe's opener and Kevin Foley levelling after Ji-Sung Park's strike.

However, with extra-time approaching, Hernandez came off the bench to secure a 3-2 victory over Wolves and send United through to the quarter-finals.
