Bradford, who made nine changes with Thursday’s semi-final first leg at Valley Parade in mind, took the lead through Alex Jones after eight minutes. Matthew Lund replied for Rochdale midway through the second half but City, who ended the game with three teenagers making their league debuts from the bench, held out.
