Huddersfield Town 0 Bristol Rovers 1: Late despair for Terriers

HUDDERSFIELD Town manager Lee Clark is set to make changes as he attempts to break a three-match losing run.

Town have been beaten by Swindon, Rochdale and Bristol Rovers in the space of a week, failing to score against any of them.

Those results have put a question mark against dreams of automatic promotion and Clark hopes tomorrow's Johnstone Paints Trophy encounter against Peterborough can put his side back on track.

"It is a different competition but it is a competition we want to do well in and it gives us a chance to put things right," said Clark.

"There will be an opportunity for certain players to stake their claim."

Town are creating chances but simply cannot put the ball in the back of the net.

Graham Carey, Scott Arfield and even five-goal top scorer Jordan Rhodes wasted straightforward chances or "absolute sitters" as Clark described them.

Damien Johnson was denied a penalty when felled in the box and goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen played his part, tipping away Alan Lee's superb header.

Centre-back Jamie McCombe, booked just before half-time, pulled Will Hoskins back and earned himself a needless red card a minute from time.

Town lost their concentration but Rovers refused to give in and Hoskins curled home a stunner with just seconds remaining of the four minutes of stoppage time.

Clark said: "It's disappointing and frustrating but we need to come out fighting."
