Huddersfield Town 0 Oldham Athletic 0: Stalemate at Galpharm Stadium

Huddersfield Town were held to a goalless draw by Oldham Athletic as the pair slugged it out in the League One play-off race.

Ian Bennett returned to the side after sitting out the midweek win over Carlisle with a groin strain, meaning Nick Colgan dropped to the bench.

Benik Afobe (knee) was named a substitute but Jordan Rhodes (knee), Liam Ridehalgh (glandular fever) and Alex Smithies (knee) were out.

Anthony Pilkington nearly put the home side ahead, but his 25-yard free-kick was superbly saved by visiting goalkeeper Ben Amos.

Reuben Reid saw a shot cleared off the line by Jamie McCombe as the visitors also pressed forward.

But Pilkington came closest to breaking the deadlock when his curled cross hit the post and bounced to safety.
