Huddersfield Town ratings: Midfield ace stands out again for Terriers - see our match marks

Chief football writer Richard Sutcliffe was at the game and rated the Terriers performances.

Lossl 7 - Had no chance with the fiercely struck penalty. Otherwise, well protected by the defence. His distribution continues to be a key part of how Huddersfield play.

Smith 7 - Vital last gasp tackled denied Kelechi Iheanacho a clear run on goal and was a threat going forward.

Jorgensen 7 - Denied by a tip over from Schmeichel early in the second half. Got across to block Chilwell’s path to goal after Town had been opened up around the hour mark to underline his good sense of anticipation.

Schindler 7 - Continues to excel at this level. Even when booked for clattering Iheanacho late in the first half, he made amends by blocking resulting free-kick from Mahrez with his head.

Lowe 6 - Reckless dive into a challenge on Andy King handed Leicester the chance to equalise from the spot. The full back did, though, do well with his delivery from the left flank deserving better.

Mooy 8 - Heartbeat of the side once again. One or two passes may have gone astray but he exudes class on the ball. Always available when a team-mate is under pressure.

Williams 7 - Caught in possession just 25 yards from his own goal by Iheanacho, Smith sparing his team-mates blushes. Otherwise, used the ball well.

Kachunga 7 - Linked up well with Smith down the right flank, the duo displaying the sort of understanding that characterised their play last season. Had a ‘goal’ wrongly ruled out by an offside flag, the Town man having been played onside by Andy King.

Sabiri 7 - Slotted into number 10 role on debut. Incisive pass for the opening goal. Substituted after tiring.

Ince 7 - Moved to a wider role to accommodate Sabiri, something that suits Ince more than playing through the middle. Came agonisingly close with a curled effort 13 minutes from time.

Depoitre 7 - Caused the normally unflappable Harry Maguire a few early problems, never more than for the opening goal when he finished with aplomb. Headed straight at Schmeichel early on. Substituted.

Hogg (for Sabiri 82) - Welcome return from one of last season’s standout players.

Van La Parra (for Depoitre 90) - Little chance to make impact.
