Huddersfield Town: Terriers chase Beckford in beat the deadline move

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN are reportedly to trying to sign ex-Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford in a sensational beat-the-deadline move.

Boss Simon Grayson, with cash at his disposal following the £8m sale of Jordan Rhodes to Blackburn, has a hit-list of striking targets ahead of the close of business at midnight today - with Leicester City Beckford emerging as his prime target with the Foxes thought to be willing to do business.

Grayson is also keen to sign QPR striker DJ Campbell, but Bristol City, Blackpool and Watford are also in the mix.

Another target is Reading forward Simon Church, with Town and Ipswich keen to sign him on loan.
