The result leaves the Terriers lying in 18th place in the table, and very much in danger of becoming embroiled in the relegation battle over the coming weeks, with just five points currently separating them from the bottom three ahead of tonight's visit to Middlesbrough.
Speaking after his side's eighth match in a row without a victory, Terriers boss Carlos Corberan told the Yorkshire Post: "It is a very difficult moment for us and it was not the result that we wanted to get.
"We did not know how to manage the pressure to get a positive result that we wanted to get. In some moments of the game, the team were a little bit nervous in managing the ball and there was anxiety.
“We tried to finish the game before it was over. We stopped doing the things we did to score the two goals and gave the opponents more options...I did not see the team in the way I like to see."
