Huddersfield Town v Leyton Orient: Town chief refuses to concede title

LEAGUE ONE: LEE CLARK insists Brighton & Hove Albion are catchable at the top of League One.

The Seagulls have been the third tier’s outstanding performers this season and sit four points clear at the top of second-placed Bournemouth with three games in hand.

With just a handful of points separating the sides immediately below the leaders, Gus Poyet’s men are overwhelming favourites to go up as champions.

However, Clark said: “I don’t see Brighton as guaranteed winners of this league. If I did, I might as well give up now.

“I have been in both positions, chasing and trying to catch up – so I have experienced what can happen.

“At the moment, Brighton have not suffered a blip in their form. But, if they went on a run of five or six games without winning then we might catch them.”

After a trio of draws, Town are desperate to return to winning ways today against FA Cup heroes Orient, who held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw and are in replay action at The Emirates on Wednesday.
