Huddersfield Town v Oldham Athletic: Town benefit from tweak in formation

League One: Lee Clark is backing his Huddersfield Town side to maintain 2011’s only remaining unbeaten record in League One.

Since the turn of the year, Town have won five and drawn two of their seven league outings to cement their standing as strong challengers for automatic promotion.

Town, whose only reverses in 2011 have been an unfortunate 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup and a costly 4-0 hammering at Carlisle United in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, will put that record to the test against Oldham.

Clark, who yesterday missed out on the Manager of the Month award for January to Rochdale’s Keith Hill, said: “We are in good form. I don’t class the Arsenal game as a defeat. When you play like we did down there, it feels like a victory. It is certainly down on my board in the office as a win.

“We look a solid team and the players are playing well individually. It may possibly be down to a tweak of formation.”

Nick Colgan is likely to drop to the bench after making his debut in midweek for Ian Bennett.
