David Wagner's Huddersfield Town earned a hard-fought point at Everton on Saturday - but how did we rate the performance? Richard Sutcliffe hands out the scores.
Got a hand to Calvert-Lewin’s header but was unable to keep it out. A couple of the Dane’s kicks were wayward but he does bring a calmness to his defence.
Got forward as much as possible as a wing back who had clearly been told to stay deep when Everton had the ball. Communication with Adama Diakhaby sometimes not the best. Booked for dissent and then substituted soon after.
Marking Tosun so was always going to be in for a testing afternoon but he stood up to the challenge admirably. Vital late tackle on Tosun denied the striker a shot on goal. Flick-on created Town goal. Booked.
Typically resolute in a three-man backline. Also provided an aerial threat at set-pieces. Was unfortunate to block a piledriver from Billing late on.
Once again, the club’s record signing read the game beautifully. Town’s backline came under pressure at times but Kongolo stood tall.
Up against Walcott so had to be on his guard until the former England man was substituted just before the hour. Played very deep but also contributed in attack, most notably with his corner for Billing’s opener.
Started on the right flank in a 4-5-1 formation and has tremendous pace. Clearly plenty of potential but his final ball is too often lacking. Substituted on the hour.
Busy as ever in midfield, breaking up Everton attacks and looking to take the visitors forward. Vital tackle on Tosun in the second half as the striker looked to be clear following a quick kick by Pickford.
His first ever Premier League goal capped an energetic display. His long throw was a useful weapon throughout, while he clearly wasn’t affected by the harsh fourth minute booking for a tackle on Zouma that left him walking a disciplinary tightrope.
Van La Parra 7
Always an outlet for the visitors when under the cosh. Sometimes his trickery didn’t work and he never hid. Also got back well to cover and help out the defence, including one particularly memorable dash for 40 yards that ended with Coleman dispossessed
Won plenty of flick-ons but team-mate were rarely close enough to take advantage. Fired in one second half effort from 20 yards that Pickford held comfortably. Also set up chance for Van la Parra with hold up play but it was fired over. Substituted.
Kachunga (for Diakhaby 60) 6
Had a late chance but his attempted volley from the edge of the area lacked power. Worked hard on the right flank.
Durm (for Hadergjonaj 75) 6
First outing in the Premier League and got in down the right but his intended pass for Mounie was cut out.
Depoitre (for Mounie 90) -
Brought on in stoppage time to see out the final stages.
