HUDDERSFIELD TOWN were held to a 0-0 draw at Turf Moor in a dour Premier Leagueencounter on Saturday afternoon.
Our man Richard Sutcliffe hopped across the Pennines to cover the match and, here, he rates the individual performances of Town’s players. Who was your star man?
Lossl 6: Distribution again decent and well protected by his defence. First save he had to make was off Christopher Schindler’s heel, as the Town man tussled with Chris Wood on 55 minutes.
Smith 6: Almost caught napping by Robbie Brady when dwelling on the ball 30 yards from his own goal in the first half.
Jorgensen 7: Stood up well to whatever Burnley could throw his way and shackled Chris Wood admirably.
Schindler 8: Outstanding at the back. Three vital interceptions on edge of Town area followed by clearance from a Ward cross as Wood waited to pounce.
Lowe 6: obbie Brady’s tendency to cut inside from the right flank on to his left foot meant Lowe knew exactly what was coming.
Mooy 7: Always wanted the ball, though at times his passing radar was off. Did, though, set up Ince for a good chance with a deft pass inside.
Hogg 7: Welcome return to the league starting XI, and he was his usual reliable self when breaking up opposition attacks. Substituted.
Kachunga 6: Fired over in the first half when he could and really should have released Tommy Smith on the overlap.
Sabiri 5: Curled a shot way over the crossbar from the edge of the area but failed to get into the game before being substituted. Booked for poor challenge on Matthew Lowton, the Town man going over the top of the ball.
Ince 6: Little impact in the first half, though improved after half-time and it was his weaving run that created a great chance for Depoitre. Switched to number 10 role after Sabiri substitution and shot just wide moments later.
Depoitre 6: Should have done better when presented with a clear chance on goal by Ince. Otherwise, he had to survive on scraps due to a lack of service.
Van la Parra (for Sabiri 63) 7: Played on the left of the attacking trio and livened attack up. Rightly booked for throwing himself to the ground despite no contact from Matthew Lowton. Later brought a save from Nick Pope.
Billing (for Hogg 75) 6: Decent use of the ball and used his physical presence well.
Hadergjonaj (for Kachunga 87): Came on to shore things up on the right flank.
