HUDDERSFIELD TOWN head coach David Wagner has confirmed that Izzy Brown will have further game time in Tuesday night's key match at Wolves - and is mulling over whether to start him or not.

The influential No 10 made his return from a knee injury from the bench in the second half of Saturday’s 4-1 loss to play-offs rivals Fulham, with the sight of him being back in the fray being one of the few crumbs of comfort on a tough afternoon.

On Brown, who has been sidelined since suffering a knee problem at Bristol City on, Wagner - whose side can clinch a play-off place with victory in the Black Country - said: “He is a big, big player for us when he has on his best and for this, he has to come back to his best fitness level as well.

“He plays a major role in our idea of football and we are very happy he is back in training and now he has another week with games and important minutes in games and in training as well.

“So he will get some minutes tomorrow, for sure. This is our aim and then we have another game on Saturday.

“We are lucky he is back at the right time to hopefully get him in the best shape in what we can have at this stage of the season.”

And on whether he will start at Molineux, Wagner added: “This is something I have to decide tomorrow (Tuesday) as well if it makes sense for him to start or give him the start later.

“This depends on the training today and tomorrow.”

Elias Kachunga, who missed the weekend game with Fulham due to illness, will be assessed by Town’s medical staff after training this evening, with the German forward also picking up a knock to his calf in the recent draw at Derby County.

Town will then make a decision as to whether he will travel down with the match squad to Wolverhampton.

Wagner, who says that another unnamed player has a knock and will be assessed on Tuesday morning, said: “He was with us outside on Sunday and today we will see what we do with him after I have spoken with the medical department.”
