The 28-year-old Egyptian international’s deal is subject to receiving a work permit.

Elmohamady first joined the club, initially on loan from Sunderland, almost four years ago and he has since gone on to make more than 180 appearances in a black and amber shirt, including an sequence of 99 consecutive league starts between February 2013 and September 2015. Establishing himself as a firm favourite amongst the fans, Elmohamady has also helped the Tigers to two promotions to the Premier League, a first-ever FA Cup final appearance and he was a key player in his side’s play-off success last season.
