There have been leaps forward as well for Leeds United and Harrogate Town. Here’s our latest table - have a scroll through, see if you agree with our rankings and let us know, one way or the other, via the comments section at the bottom.

1: Hull City WWWWW (+1)

The joy of six - Six wins on the spin for the terrific Tigers, who are successfully spinning plates in three competitions. Made a statement by way of a fine 3-0 win at Ipswich in midweek, with Grant McCann’s side heading into next Wednesday’s mouth-watering league appointment with former club Doncaster Rovers in fine fettle. Boast the best away form in League One with their haul of 18 points being four more than their nearest rival.

Bounced back from their weekend loss to Norwich with a comfortable win over troubled Derby - en route to their eighth clean sheet of the season. Iron-clad Boro, who possess the best goals against record in the EFL (6) look solid and dependable. Their 3-0 victory over the Rams was also their biggest on home soil at league level since August 2018. A trip to Huddersfield Town is up next.

3: Barnsley WWLWWL (=)

Their perfect home form under Valerien Ismael was dented by way of Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat to an accomplished Brentford side, but the bigger picture is rosy for the Reds, third in the Championship’s six-match form guide. Barnsley have eight more points than at the same stage last season and are eight places higher.

4: Doncaster Rovers WDWLDW (=)

Rovers head into FA Cup duty at Carlisle on the back of a roller-coaster win over Blackpool. Darren Moore’s side are proving the great entertainers at home - more’s the pity that no supporters are currently there to witness it. Only Peterborough (16) have scored more home goals than Rovers (15) in League One.

5: Harrogate Town LWLDLW (+3)

Picked a very timely juncture to record their first League Two success in seven matches with an excellent midweek triumph at form side Mansfield.

It will provide the perfect tonic for Harrogate as they switch to FA Cup matters at home to Blackpool, where they will be seeking to make history and round off a memorable year by reaching the third round of the Cup for the first time. You would not put it past them, given the events of 2020.

6: Leeds United DLWLLD (+3)

Desperately unfortunate not to be celebrating a win after dominating Sunday’s draw with Arsenal. The positive vibe is that Leeds recorded their first clean sheet of the season at Elland Road and also showed their defensive discipline following 4-1 beatings in successive games against Crystal Palace and Leicester City. An intriguing encounter at Everton is next on the roster.

7: Huddersfield Town LWLDLD (-1)

The Terriers remain a work in progress - as they were always likely to - amid their style make-over under Carlos Corberan and are without a win in four and have registered just one win in seven.

A clean sheet at Wycombe after letting in four last weekend at Stoke will be welcomed at least. Boro up next.

8: Rotherham United WLLWLL (-3)

The Millers head into Saturday’s home game with high-flying Bournemouth on the back of successive away defeats, with the Millers having lost their last four on the road - in a worrying rewind to previous seasons at this level. Need to keep chipping away with the odd win at home to keep the points tally ticking over, as they have done so far this season, to be fair.

9: Sheffield Wednesday LLWDLD (+1)

A gritty draw at a difficult midweek venue in Swansea should at least provide Wednesday with a bit of encouragement heading into Saturday’s home game with Stoke, with one of Tony Pulis’s former clubs providing the opposition for his first game in charge at Hillsborough.

The glass is half-empty brigade point to the fact that the Owls have won just one game in the past eight. The ‘half-full’ crowd remark that they have lost just once in their last four outings.

10: Bradford City WWLDLL (-3)

City are doing it tough, not for the first time in recent seasons. A derisory 23rd in League Two’s latest six-match form guide - and with the 21st best away form in the division - City are having a rotten time of it, plain and simple. Three successive home games in league and cup now follow. Can Stuart McCall make it a ‘Happy Valley’ again by the close of play a week on Saturday?

11: Sheffield United LDLLLL (=)

Grim is the operative word. The 1-0 loss to West Ham was their eighth in nine Premier League matches at the start of 2020-21, which has seen them take a solitary one point from 27 available.

All told, the Blades - who last triumphed on July 11 – have lost 11 of their past 12 league outings.

Desperate numbers. Face a monumentally huge game at West Brom this weekend.
