Midfielders Kevin Stewart and Jon Toral will leave the club alongside young defender Robbie McKenzie and back-up goalkeeper Will Mannion.

Last month, Stewart, Toral, McKenzie and MacDonald - whose contracts were due to expire at the end of June - all agreed short-term extensions to remain at the club for the rest of the elongated season.

But only ex-Barnsley centre-half and MacDonald has been tabled with a new deal.

MacDonald made his first-team comeback after a battle with bowel cancer last month.

The 27-year-old had 22 months away from the Tigers first team, fighting for his professional career following two major health scares.

The one-time Torquay United player first had to overcome a blood clot found in his calf early last season before he was then diagnosed with bowel cancer last August.
