Hull City: Champions Leicester City headline tough start for promoted Tigers

The Tigers, promoted via the play-offs, will host Claudio Ranieri’s men in a fixture that is certain to be moved for television due to Sky always showing the reigning champions’ first game of the season.

Leicester’s visit is the first of four consecutive home games spread across the first six weeks of the season that will also see Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea visit the KC Stadium.

It represents an incredibly tough start for the newly-promoted club on home soil, meaning their early away fixtures could be crucial in terms of collecting points.

Hull’s first game on the road is at Swansea City on August 20, while the opening few weeks also bring trips to Burnley (September 10), Liverpool (September 24) and Bournemouth (October 15).

Yorkshire will have two representatives in the top flight for the first time in seven years and Middlesbrough will host the Tigers on December 3 with the return in the East Riding is scheduled for Tuesday April 4.

Hull’s season will end with a home game against Tottenham Hotspur on May 21, while Boxing Day will see Manchester City head to the KC Stadium. New Year’s Eve will bring a visit from Everton with City heading to West Bromwich Albion two days later.

Other highlights include visits to Chelsea (January 21), Manchester United (January 31) and Arsenal (February 11).
