Bristol City v Hull City: Fryatt has double target for next time

MATTY FRYATT insists Hull City will be ready to challenge for promotion next season.

The Tigers travel to Bristol City today looking to bring the curtain down on 2010-11 with a victory.

City cannot qualify for the play-offs but Fryatt, who is destined to finish as the club’s top scorer after bagging nine goals since January, believes the foundations have been laid for a concerted push for promotion next term.

He said: “We are disappointed that we are playing for nothing, given the position we got ourselves into. But we haven’t got the points we needed in recent weeks when other teams have been winning.

“However, when you look at the start the team had this season, you can see a lot of progress has been made.”

Hull have agreed a deal with Manchester United for left-back Joe Dudgeon.

The 20-year-old has spent the week at the KC stadium and, given the player has completed a medical and a £300,000 fee has been agreed, City expect to complete the signing on Monday.
