‘Everything is about the team’ says award winner Hull City boss Grant McCann
The Northern Irishman oversaw a five-match unbeaten run after the turn of the year, leading the Tigers to the top of the table.
They recorded four wins and bagged a total of 14 points from their seven league outings, the highlight which was undoubtedly a stunning 4-0 demolition of promotion rivals Portsmouth at Fratton Park.

“It’s pleasing, but obviously this award is never about me it’s about the collective, it’s about the team, the squad, the staff,” he said.
“We’ve made a real conscious effort this year that everything is about ‘us’. There’s no ‘I’. We are all in this together. That’s what we are about this year.
“It’s a big team effort and everything we do is always about the team. That includes the staff, everyone is working very hard to try and achieve what we want to do.

“It is always nice to be recognised for what we’re doing, but we want to continue to build and do well, there’s not long left in the season, 19 games, and we’ve got to keep ourselves focused and keep our minds right on the next one.”
Although their form was impressive last month, the Tigers have not carried that momentum into February and entertain MK Dons this weekend without a win or a goal in their last two matches.
But, they head into Saturday’s clash knowing that a victory could see them re-claim pole position from leaders Lincoln.
