Fixtures 2015-16: Yorkshire derby sees Hull welcomed back to the Championship with a bang

RELEGATED Hull City will start and end the 2015-16 campaign with Yorkshire derbies, following the release of the Football League’s fixture list this morning.

The Tigers kick off with a KC Stadium assignment against Huddersfield Town, one of the clubs Steve Bruce has previously managed, on August 8 and follow up with a tough trip to Wolves seven days later.

Meanwhile, Hull finish their Championship commitments with another clash against a White Rose visitor in Rotherham United, who make their first league visit to the KC on May 7.

October sees Hull make the trip to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday, a club they have beaten in five of their last seven outings, on October 17.

At the end of the month on October 31, Tigers fans make their first-ever trip to the stadium:mk to face MK Dons.

November sees former Tigers number two Steve Agnew return to Hull with Middlesbrough, who he left to join last season, on November 7.

Hull head west to Leeds United, who they did the double over in 2012-13, on December 5, with Robert Snodgrass returning to his former club.

Another derby trip follows soon after with a groundbreaking first derby trip to the AESSEAL New York Stadium on December 19.

Hull welcome Burnley, who delivered a fateful blow to their survival hopes, on Boxing Day and visit Preston two days later.

The Tigers end February at home to Sheffield Wednesday (February 27) and visit Middlesbrough, seeking their first league win there since 1986, on March 19.

Two derbies arrive in April, with Hull visiting Huddersfield on April 9 at the John Smith’s Stadium - where they took just 429 fans in the last league clash there in 2013 due to protests over the ticketing and travel arrangements imposed upon them by West Yorkshire Police.

Hull’s penultimate home clash of the season is an attractive one against Leeds on April 23 and their final away date is at Bolton on April 30 before ending the campaign at home to the Millers.
