FT: Hull City 2-1 Middlesbrough

Hull City claimed a late win to revive their faint hopes of gatecrashing the play-offs.

Hull had not won for an age leaving their hopes of making the top six hanging by a thread.

And their plight was made even more difficult on 13 minutes when Marvin Emnes gave Middlesbrough the lead after latching onto a pass from Barry Robson.

Hull then ended their long wait for a goal with a stunning strike from Joshua King to level matters shortly before the hour.

And the Tigers snatched a late winner through Matty Fryatt in the 88th minute.

The defeat continues Middlesbrough’s opwn freefall out of the play-off reckoning.
