Ince moves from Hull to Forest
to reignite his fire

HULL CITY winger Tom Ince is expected to tie up a loan move to Championship side Nottingham Forest today after agreement was reached between the two clubs.

The 22-year-old joined the Tigers on a two-year deal in the summer from Blackpool, but has found opportunities hard to come by.

Ince’s last appearance in the Premier League came in the 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa on August 31, while he also started in the Capital One Cup exit to West Bromwich Albion a little over three weeks later. Since then, however, Ince has struggled to even make the matchday squad and he is understood to be open to the approach from Forest.

Hull’s exits from both the Capital One Cup and the Europa League have left a host of players at the KC Stadium with limited opportunities.

Yannick Sagbo and Maynor Figueroa have, as a result, already moved on loan to the Championship with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic respectively.

Manager Steve Bruce is keen to see Ince, who is understood to have travelled to Nottingham yesterday, get some regular football and, hopefully, return to the KC looking match sharp.

The deal is for an initial month, but could be extended. A 24-hour recall clause has been inserted by the Tigers.

Such a move worked wonders for Matty Fryatt, now of Forest coincidentally, last season. He had been struggling for form and fitness before a switch to Sheffield Wednesday brought a massive improvement and it was Fryatt who played a big part in firing Hull to the FA Cup final.

Forest manager Stuart Pearce has worked with Ince in the past when at the helm of the England Under-21s.

For Ince, a move to the East Midlands would bring a welcome return to regular action. He has made eight appearances for Hull, but only three have been in the Premier League. His only goal for the Yorkshire club came in the Cup exit to West Brom.

If Ince does move to Forest, it means he will not be around when a fee for his move from Blackpool is set by a Football League tribunal. His contract had run out at Bloomfield Road, but due to being under 24, the Seasiders will be due a fee.

Forest are in need of a lift after slipping from the top of the table down to seventh courtesy of a seven-game run that has yielded just five points. They are battling an injury list which includes Andy Reid, Jack Hobbs and Chris Cohen, who have all been out in recent weeks.
