N’Doye poised for Hull City exit door

The 30-year-old joined the Tigers from Lokomotiv Moscow in January for a fee of £2.2m but his five goals were not enough to keep the Yorkshire club in the Premier League.

Following City’s relegation, N’Doye made it clear he wanted to leave and he was linked with a possible switch to Crystal Palace.

Besiktas were also interested but neither club was willing to match the Euros 3.5m release clause inserted in his contract on arrival at the KC Stadium.

Trabzonspor, however, submitted the requisite offer yesterday and the Senegal is understood to be speaking to the Turkish side about a move that is likely to be confirmed ahead of Hull’s Championship opener at home to Huddersfield Town.

N’Doye’s impending departure is likely to help Steve Bruce’s rebuilding plans with the substantial saving in the striker’s reported £25,000 per week wages likely to be ploughed back into the club’s transfer fund.

Further savings could come if fellow high-earners Nikica Jelavic, on the radar of West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic, and Napoli target Abel Hernandez can also be moved on.

Bruce, however, indicated after the weekend friendly at Sheffield United that he would be happy to keep both strikers at the club if no offers come in.
