THERE was plenty of action as ever throughout and around the White Rose this weekend, as Yorkshire’s clubs and sporting stars strived for succecss.

Once again, we have a gallery of great pictures to share with you from the worlds of football, snooker and ice hockey.

In football, Jonathan Gawthorpe was at Elland Road to see Leeds United pull off a surprise victory over high-flying Hull City, while Simon Hulme was at the New York Stadium as Rotherham United went down 2-1 to Wolves.

Steve Ellis was at Hillsborough on Sunday as Sheffield Wednesday were held to a goalless stalemate by Derby County and we also have pictures from Sheffield United’s FA Cup second round win over Oldham at Bramall Lane.

Elsewhere we have images from the UK Snooker Championship at which Leeds’s David Grace enjoyed a stunning run to the semi-finals where, on Saturday, his dream was ended by Liang Wenbo.

And in ice hockey, Dean Woolley was on hand to capture Sheffield Steelers’ 3-1 win over Fife Flyers in the Elite League.
