Tigers staying quiet on Bullard

HULL City were last night refusing to comment on reports midfielder Jimmy Bullard has been suspended for a breach of club discipline.

The midfielder’s exact misdemeanour remains unclear, although it is believed the incident occurred during the Championship club’s training camp in Slovenia last week.

Bullard is believed to have returned to England with his team-mates before being ordered to stay away from City’s training ground for two weeks.

The 32-year-old was targeted by QPR at the start of the summer but it is understood the Londonders’ capture of Keiran Dyer means Hull’s record signing is unlikely to move to Loftus Road.

Ipswich Town, where Bullard spent the second half of last season on loan, are also interested but would struggle to match the midfielder’s £48,000 per week wages.
