HULL CITY have been handed a fresh blow with full-back Moses Odubajo to leave the club on a free transfer later this summer.
The former Brentford defender, who joined for £3.5m in August 2015, had rejected a contract extension and follows Allan McGregor, Michael Dawson, Seb Larsson and Abel Hernandez in heading for pastures new.
Odubajo, 24 has not played a competitive fixture since the 2016 Championship play-off final after suffering three serious knee injuries, but is now intent on rebuilding his career at a new club.
Elsewhere, Bradford City have beaten competition from several clubs to sign Aberdeen defender Anthony O’Connor on a three-year deal.
The 25-year-old former Republic of Ireland international is the club’s fourth close-season recruit following the fellow signings of midfielder Josh Wright, full-back Joe Riley and young Swedish centre-half Thomas Isherwood.
O’Connor was offered fresh terms at Pittodrie, but has elected to return south to England, where he has spent the majority of his career.
The Irishman helped guide Burton Albion to the Championship in 2016 following spells with Blackburn Rovers, Plymouth Argyle, and Torquay United.
City head of recruitment Greg Abbott said: “There has been a lot of interest in Anthony and he is very well thought of at his former club, Aberdeen.”
“It is always a good sign when a manager is upset to lose a player and I know that Aberdeen definitely wanted to keep the lad.”
