Hull City pressure no match for CSKA Moscow scrutiny '“ Slutsky

HULL CITY manager Leonid Slutsky insists he is not worried about the intense speculation regarding him losing his job - and says that he has encountered far more higher levels of pressure during his time in Russia.

Slutsky is fighting for his managerial future with the Tigers, with the club residing in a disappointing 20th place in the Championship - just four points above the drop zone, but despite reports that he would be sacked this week, he remains in his position and will take charge of Saturday’s home game with Bristol City.

On his take on this week’s spate of reports that he would be shown the door following the club’s poor results this season, Slutsky – whose side have not won in five league games – said: “For me, this is nothing.

“Now, this is serious pressure. And my target is to change the direction from the players. For me, it is no problem.

“The risk for me is not serious pressure.

“For me, this is nothing. This is not a big risk for me. I worked for CSKA (Moscow), the biggest club in Russia for seven years and coached the national team and the pressure was another level.”
