The Terriers have lost their last five matches in all competitions, including a 2-1 defeat to Bristol City in midweek.

Their dip in form has seen Carlos Corberan’s men slip to 14th in the table, and they are now 11 points adrift of the play-offs.

Stoke City haven’t fared too well of late themselves either, and haven’t won a game since December 19th – a run of eight matches.

The Potters came unstuck against high-flying Watford last Friday, and are now five points outside of the play-offs after a promising start to the campaign.

Looking ahead to Saturday’s meeting, Prutton has backed Huddersfield to further compound their misery too.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “Huddersfield are on a really poor run.

"It's four defeats on the spin now [in the league] and they have drifted back into mid-table.

“Stoke are going the same way it seems.

"They can't buy a win either and need to find a result from somewhere, but I'm going to tip Huddersfield to bounce back from their poor run with a win.”

Prutton has forecast a 2-1 win for Town.

Stoke won the two sides’ previous meeting this season, coming out on top in a pulsating game that finished 4-3 back in November.

Huddersfield haven’t beaten the Potters since October 2019, when they ran out 1-0 winners in a Championship clash at the bet365 Stadium.
