Is Birmingham City v Huddersfield Town on TV? Why is it on Friday night?

Huddersfield Town will look to seal their first win of the Championship season when they head to Birmingham City on Friday night.

The Terriers lost to Burnley last Friday as they kicked off their era under Danny Schofield following Carlos Corberan's departure last month.

Birmingham started their season with a hard-fought 0-0 draw with at Luton Town. David Kasumu will miss the fixture for Town but the midfielder's hamstring injury is not as bad as at first feared.

The summer signing from Milton Keynes Dons picked up an injury against Burnley after coming off the bench.

"He (Kasumu) won't be available for Friday but it's not as bad as we first thought, so that's a positive," said Schofield. "It's a slight injury low down in his hamstring so he's going to miss a few weeks but it's not as bad as we first thought.

"Pretty much apart from those two players (Kasumu and Pearson) the squad's fit and ready."

Is it on TV?

The fixture is not available on TV but can be watched on Huddersfield Town's iFollow service.

A single match pass for the fixture can be purchased for £10 while an audio pass costs £2.50. iFollow is via desktop, tablet and mobile.

Why is it on a Friday?

Sky Sports normally televise fixtures on a Friday but this game has been moved following a request from Birmingham.

The fixtures was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday but Birmingham have been unable to obtain stewards and medical cover for the date due to the Commonwealth Games, which is taking place across the city.
