The 25-year-old was behind John Ruddy and Declan Rudd in the Canaries pecking order and had his contract terminated by mutual consent.

Kean replaces Lewis Price, who joined Rotherham United last week, and will provide cover and competition for Keiren Westwood, Joe Wildsmith and Cameron Dawson.

“Obviously this is a massive club with a great history and hopefully an even better future,” said Kean.

“There is a lot of competition but any competition is good competition.

“It’s up to me to come here and have a go and try and get that number one shirt.

“But it’s Keiren’s at the minute and if I can provide more competition for him and make him play better then great.

“I believe this club has got every chance to go up automatically, if not via the play-offs. There is a strong squad here and obviously on the back of the disappointment last year, the lads will want to kick on.

“It will be a difficult division, it always is. There are some big teams, who will have a good go but I expect it to be tough like always.”
