James Coppinger to stay at Doncaster Rovers for a 17th season
The contract will take him past his fortieth birthday, which he will celebrate in January.
Coppinger made his Rovers debut back in August 2005 and the club record appearance holder has made over 600 appearances for Doncaster.

Hide AdThe midfielder has confirmed that season will be his final one.
On extending his stay at the club, he said: “It was inevitable that I would come back.
"It was just whether Doncaster were willing to offer me a new contract and there was something on the table.
"I am confident I will do all I can to be involved like I did last season in training and playing to prove to the manager that I am still available and I can still do what he wants me to do.
"I am really positive about going back and I’m really looking forward to it."
