Johnson transfer-listed at Leeds United

BRADLEY JOHNSON has been transfer listed and put up for sale after rejecting a new deal at Leeds United.

Johnson, 23, is out of contract at Elland Road next summer and had been in negotiaions with the club for several months.

Manager Simon Grayson was keen to retain the services of the versatile winger who cost only 250,000 from Northampton Town two years ago but stressed that he would not be frozen out of the team.

"We are disappointed that he has turned down the offer but that doesn't mean he won't figure," said Grayson. "He will give 100 per cent commitment to the club and, if he's good enough to play in the team, he will."

Grayson revealed that talks with striker Lucciano Becchio and midfielder Neil Kilkenny - who are also out of contract next summer - are still on-going while defender Patrick Kisnorbo will be offered a new deal when he completes his recovery from a snapped Achilles tendon

Defender Aidy White, meanwhile, has agreed to join League One side Oldham Athletic on loan in a bid to gain more experience of first team football.

White, 19, has made 23 senior appearances for the club so far after making his debut aged just 16 under Gary McAllister two years ago.

"This is a good opportunity for Aidy to hopefully play some games," said manager Grayson. "He has been around the squad for a while now and a loan move will hopefully give him the opportunity to gain more experience by playing competitive games."

White is a former team-mate of Oldham's player-manager Paul Dickov whose was released by Leeds this summer.

Doncaster Rovers defender Byron Webster has joined League Two strugglers Hereford United on a month's loan.
