Moore's side could move as high as third if they win their games in hand.

Meanwhile, Hull City missed the chance to extend their advantage at the top of League One as they were beaten 1-0 by Shrewsbury Town.

Shrewsbury had not won for 10 league games prior to their visit to Hull but Charlie Daniels's first-half goal proved the difference.

With Lincoln City suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat at home to Sunderland, Grant McCann's side would have went five points clear at the top of the league.

They remain top by two points and have played fewer games than the majority of sides immediately below them.
