Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday contribute two players each.

Here’s our XI in a 3-5-2 formation. Enjoy the rest of the summer.

A dependable presence and produced a calm performance as Huddersfield secured their Championship status with an excellent victory over West Brom.

Has enjoyed another fine season and was one of the Blades’ few accomplished performers in a tame end to the campaign at Bramall Lane in a 1-0 reverse to Everton.

Richard Stearman (Huddersfield Town)

His experience and nous has been invaluable since arriving at Town and it came to the fore again on Friday night. Strong signing.

Ben White (Leeds United)

Different class all season and showed no ill effects from Leeds United’s justified weekend celebrations as being crowned champions with a typically authoritative showing at Derby County.

Made the most of his opportunity from the start and was a lively performer throughout at Pride Park. Produced some telling crosses and confirmed his potential.

Pablo Hernandez (Leeds United)

Lead by example at Derby and managed to get on the scoresheet for the second successive Sunday. Quite simply, one of Leeds’s star performers this century and now deservedly heads back to the big time. Has scored three goals in his past four games.

Lewis O’Brien (Huddersfield Town)

Crowned an outstanding season in a fitting fashion with a dynamic, high energy performance to help Town confirm their second-tier status. Delivered just when his club needed him. Set up the winner against the Baggies.

Callum Styles (Barnsley)

Have shown evidence as to why he will be a big player potentially for Barnsley next term.

Here, there and everywhere on Sunday and his brilliant tackle set up the Reds for their dramatic late winner against Forest. Huge heart.

Jacob Murphy (Sheffield Wednesday)

Another whose arrival changed the narrative of the game at Craven Cottage. Scored a fine goal and created Nuhiu’s second.

Forwards

Patrick Schmidt (Barnsley)

Only came on the pitch late on, but worthy of his inclusion for saving the Reds season with a thrilling stoppage-time strike, the prelude to great scenes of delight and a hug from Gerhard Struber after he raced onto the pitch.

Atdhe Nuhiu (Sheffield Wednesday)

Came on at the break and caused Fulham untold problems in the air. Bagged a brace to take his tally to fifty for the Owls ahead of the clash with Boro, who he enjoys playing against.

His passion for the job encapsulated in that run to congratulate Schmidt. The Austrian head coach has taken Barnsley’s fight to the bitter end.
