Leeds United land first summer deal as Lewis Baker joins

The 23-year-old midfielder has joined the Whites on a season-long loan from the Blues and will now link up with Marcelo Bielsa's squad at Thorp Arch.

Baker spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Middlesbrough where he featured just 14 times in all competitions scoring twice.

The Luton-born midfielder is a product of Chelsea's academy, who he joined aged 9, and has spent time out on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, MK Dons, Vitesse Arnhem before his stint on Teeside.

Baker helped MK Dons to promotion from League One in 2015 and also ended his two-year stay in the Netherlands by winning the Dutch cup in 2017.

He has been previously capped at international level with England at various youth levels and in 2016 took home the Toulon Tournament golden boot award whilst helping the Three Lions to the title.
