Leeds United loanee Bryce Hosannah will not play again for Bradford City until after Christmas

The youngsters, who suffered hamstring trouble earlier in the season, is on loan from Leeds United. He missed Sellars and Trueman's first game in charge and was sent for a scan on an unspecified problem.

The caretakers are yet to hear back, but it has been made clear Hosannah's comeback will be made on the new manager's watch.

“All we know is he's unavailable for us whilst we are in charge and that's as far as it goes for now," said Sellars. "Hopefully it will be good news."

The target is for Stuart McCall's permanent replacement to be in place for Tuesday's League Two trip to Grimsby Town, but an appointment will not be rushed to meet that timescale.

Paul Hurst, John McGreal and David Flitcroft have been touted as potential choices.

Sellars and Trueman stopped the rot in midweek, ending a six-match losing streak with a 1-1 draw at Crawley. They will have Callum Cooke available for Saturday's visit of Cambridge United, but will make late decisions on Gareth Evans, Billy Clarke and Kurtis Guthrie.

“Callum's fine, he's fit to play the next game," said Sellars. "He had a minor knock, dead leg, but he's fine and he' be back fit to play.

"(As for Evans, Clarke and Guthrie), it's kind of a tricky one at the minute. It'll probably be a late call."
